I was asked to write a gothic track for a guy who wanted to make his porn debut on stage at the Erotic Ball Awards in London in 2002 and wanted a religious theme to go with it. We worked on the idea through 2001.

I didn't do a great job of the vocals on this version because it was only a rough mix at the time, and the plan was to record it in a proper studio. Then he disappeared and I never heard from him again. I later heard from a contact who knew him that he had got cold feet and was so embarrassed he couldn't face me.

This was also my first attempt at anything vaguely EDM (it's not EDM, but I was trying to get it there) and I really struggled to find the sonic drum power and methods needed for production of that genre. It's taken me 20 more years to begin to learn that black art.

I got the gothic chanting from a library CD but havent been able to locate the name of it. I am sure there isn't a copyright issue, but I don't have the exact info. I tested the finished recording in YT and it doesnt think there is either. If you recognise it get in touch and let me know what it is from.

This was yet another mix lost to the computer crash of 2004. I sure learnt about the value of backups that year.
