Big Love 03:48
Better start looking at the bigger picture There's a whole world waiting and it's right in side ya Freedom isn't easy its a dangerous course The sharks gonna get ya if the fear don't first My days spent flying into outer space When I came back down I had to join the rat race Now I am running like a sucker till I'm in a spin Seems like I never got time to do anything There's a love in every man, a big love in every man Better stop pretending that it isn't in ya Times running out on the road to nowhere Your days spent living in a mental blargh You think you cant be doing better but you know you can Coz dreams count for something even when they're lost This world is full of people giving up the ghost If we all stand together we can make a way Come on if your with me what do you say, This is what I say to you…. There's a love in every man, a big love in every man Better start looking at the bigger picture Find the angels in the world coz they're here to help you Gonna show you how to fire up what you got inside So you never have to lie again about the love you feel in side your soul There's a love in every man, a big love in every man © Mark DK Berry

Killer 05:04
When I was young I fell in love with the gun, I just wanted to protect my world. I put ink on my skin to show the world I believed in, Something greater, greater than fool's gold. Now I look at my gang and every single man, has grown afraid of his own shadow. And the need to belong turned from right to wrong, when the Devil found a home in my gun barrels. yea. When the act is done nothing under the sun, can take you back to where your innocence fell. And you'll be on your own when my words touch your bone, you'll be trying to find a way to get out of Hell. Here's to the killer in you, it's from the killer in me. And it aint no lie; every man has to die to become a man in this crazy world. It's in your eyes, the truth you cant hide from those that know the price we pay with assholes. And when the time comes for you, just hope your heart remains true and you'll see deeper as you start to unravel your time through many lives, back to the ancient and wise they knew the gods that live beneath the roads that we now travel. Here's to the killer in you, it's from the killer in me. © Mark DK Berry

No Rest 04:08
They say there's no rest for the wicked They say what's done is done You're wanted for crimes you committed Hunted to the kingdom come They say you killed a man without pity And now, they'll run you down Put a noose around your neck And let ya swing til dawn You're not the first to face the gallows And you sure wont be the last Just some men's lives have destiny written from the start I'll ride you the edge of the city You best get out of town Forget you ever knew this place You're an outlaw now They say there's no rest for the wicked They say what's done is done You're wanted for crimes you committed Hunted to the kingdom come They say you killed a man without pity And now they'll run you down Put a noose around your neck And let ya swing til dawn © Mark DK Berry

Sorry 04:02
How can I ever say I am sorry For all the things I’ve done No regrets fall upon me But I was wrong, I was wrong. I let mistakes become me I let you fall down Wounded, to the ground. I see the question, why? Move upon your lips Temptation like wine She moved across my hips Salvation for a time, or just Selfish benefits Down fell I, down fell I, into the pit. Ring of fire, round my heart for all time. A mark upon your life put a mark upon my mind How can I ever say I am sorry For all the things I’ve done What’s done is done, is done, is done , is done. I’m Sorry. © Mark DK Berry

Forgiven 00:44
Rise up and be sad no more Rise up and be sad no more You’ve cried every tear to cry and more Rise up and be sad no more Rise up and be sad no more Rise up and be sad no more I bring you forgiveness, leave it outside your door Rise up and be sad no more © Mark DK Berry

I told myself the time would come I’ve seen enough oblivion To know This aint where I belong A tear falls from your sparkling eye You said to me you’d rather die I know Sometimes it’s hard to carry on The worlds gone mad it's lost it's head You shut the door and stayed in bed Alone …. You’ll always be alone I told myself the time would come I’ve seen enough oblivion To know This aint where I belong In the end we’ll be set free From all these things eventually So carry on We carry on You and me © Mark DK Berry

about

(This album versions are all Eventide Mastered)

Written in 2008 while I was living on Bondi Beach, Sydney and starting a new life in Australia.

Having left London - my home of 20 years - it was a wake up call to be so alone suddenly and yet also living in such a paradise. I had a lot to reflect on, and I also needed to account for my past as well as figure out my future. This album was the culmination of that reflection and it also became a confession of sorts. I needed to change some aspects of myself, and by 2010 I had turned a corner.

Looking back now, I could not have chosen a better place to go through the process, and I have fond memories of that time in Bondi between 2008-2010. Tough, but good times.

It's taken me until now to fix the poor quality sound issues caused by recording it in the small unit I lived in on Campbell parade. Three songs didn't make the album because they were unfix-able, and I hope to record them at another time, they deserve a place on here even if just acoustic.

"No Rest" is the same structure as the previously released single, but this version was remastered to match the rest of the album.

"No Rest" also has a video which can be seen here (Made later, around 2012) - rumble.com/v3u79mk-no-rest-indie-music-video.html

Lyrics are now added, see the song sections
