about

Mark DK Berry - Vocals, guitar, keyboards, computer programming.
Sean Doyle - Bass
Tucky - Drums and percussion

This was the original line-up of The Way which first began in Portsmouth in 1996 as a three piece (I moved back to London in 1998 where I decided to keep the name "The Way UK" and start again with a new bunch of musicians there. Tucky was not interested in the commute and Sean was moving abroad).

The keyboard parts here are played by me into a computer. I had just bought my first PC since the Atari (1991) and I got hold of an entry level soundcard and a free version of Cakewalk. I used to cut keyboard parts to CD's for gigs, and it worked okay so long as the stage didn't bounce too much, though was hardest on the drummer. He didn't use a click track, just turned it up loud in the monitors. Top lad!

The first two tracks we recorded at Cazimi Studios in London in 1996
and the last set of four are from a live gig at the Mean Fiddler on 2nd Sept 1997.

There was a third track called "Shine" recorded at Cazimi Studios but unfortunately it is lost. I have lost touch with the lads from that band, but if they ever see this and have a copy, get in touch.
